Paul F.  Zocco Sr.
Paul F. Zocco, Sr, 84, of Enfield, beloved husband of Carolyn (Waterhouse) Zocco for 65 years passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 17, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late Sebastian and Mary (Ali) Zocco. Paul and Carolyn resided in Enfield for 57 years where they raised their family. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard and on the Enfield Police Auxiliary. He was employed by Bervic Company of Bloomfield and Hartford Truck in South Windsor as an Outside Sales Representative. Paul will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, the gift of storytelling, his bear hugs, and his contagious belly laughs. He valued his family and he valued his friends as family. In addition to his loving wife Carolyn he is survived by four children, Paul F. Zocco, Jr. and his wife Dory of California, Robin Zocco (Chip) and his wife Barbara of Utah, Katherine Zocco-Hochhalter and her husband Ted of Colorado, and Wendy Doyle and her husband John of Rocky Hill, CT; Papa Paul leaves eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers Chester Zocco, Sr. and James Zocco; a sister Lucy Zocco; two sisters-in-law, Julie Turgeon and Clorinda Zocco; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Carmen and Joseph Zocco. Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT. On Tuesday, March 15, 2016, there will be a calling hour from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. James Church, 747 Elm Street, Rocky Hill, CT immediately followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery.
