Regal V.  Barsanti
Regal V. Barsanti, 92, of Windsor Locks and loving husband of Louise (Lombardi) Barsanti entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, surrounded by his family at the Suffield House. Regal was born February 10, 1924, in Providence, RI the son of the late Armando and Esther (Baratto) Barsanti. Regal proudly served in the United States Army during World War II as a private first class. He was a proud graduate of Aaron's School of Aeronautics Class of 1954. Regal a resident of Windsor Locks since 1955 previously owned a bakery in Providence, RI. He was employed in the aerospace industry for many years, beginning with Pratt & Whitney, then Kaman Aerospace and later retired at the age of 65 from the former Terry Steam Turbine Company. At the age of 65, he began working in the maintenance department for the Windsor Locks Housing Authority retiring at the age of 80. Regal has been a longtime faithful communicant of St. Mary Church since 1955. In his healthy years, he enjoyed fishing and golfing. In addition to his wife, Louise to whom he was married 68 years he is also survived by his five children, Cheryl Benoit and her husband, Patrick of Enfield, Richard Barsanti and his wife, Susan of Windsor Locks, Patricia Simon and her husband, Gregory of Enfield, James Barsanti and his wife, Donna of Enfield and Anne Dzialo and her husband, Edward of Middlefield; his thirteen grandchildren, Christopher Blake of Meridan, Karen Kohler of Port St. Lucie, FL, Keith Harlan of Orlando, FL, Krista Bertrand of Windsor Locks, Jessica Mitchell of Middletown, Jeffrey Mitchell of Richardson, TX, David Simon of Philadelphia, PA, Anthony Barsanti of Stafford Springs, Angela Reynolds of Enfield, Alicia Barsanti of Agawam, MA, Amanda Barsanti of Enfield, Emily Dzialo and EJ Dzialo both of Middlefield; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Quigley of Suffield and Norma Moffa of Providence, RI. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Friday, September 30, 2016, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will gather at 10:30 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 am at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Windsor Locks Food Pantry, 50 Church St., Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
