Arthur P. "Art"  Theofane
Arthur P. Theofane, 69, of Windsor, CT loving husband, of Carol (Bancroft) Theofane entered in to Eternal Rest on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Meadow Brook of Granby with his loving and devoted wife, Carol by his side. Art was born in Springfield, MA the son of the late John and Evelyn (Andrewes) Theofane. Art proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a Security Officer then as an inspector with Hamilton Standard from which he retired in 2010 after 39 years. He enjoyed playing chess and played on several setback leagues at the Windsor and Windsor Locks Senior Centers and the Knights of Columbus. Art’s passion was playing racquetball which he’s played for over 40 years. In addition to his wife, Carol he is also survived by two children, Angela Yousef and her husband, Sami of East Lyme and Stephen Theofane; a step-son, Brian Woodhouse of East Longmeadow, MA; a grandson, Nicholaus Woodhouse of Plainville, CT; a brother, John Theofane and his wife, Cheryl of Palmer, MA; two sisters-in-law. Debora Gottschalk and her husband, Peter of Granby, CT, Jeanie Cullen and her husband, Robert of East Haddam, CT; a brother-in-law, Jim Bancroft of Rock Hill, SC and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Friday, January 27, 2016, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks, CT. A funeral service for Art will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 22 St. George Rd., Springfield, MA. (Please go directly to the church). Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Springfield, MA. Memorial contributions in memory of Art may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church, 55 North Main St., Windsor Locks, CT 06088, or to Alzheimer's Association , Connecticut Chapter, 2075 Silas Dean Hgwy., Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. The family wishes to thank Art's Caregiver, Michael, for the care he provided while Art was at home and the staff at Meadow Brook of Granby for the care they provided Arthur during his short stay with them.
