Obituary for Faye Hooper (Vaughn)

Faye V. Hooper, widow of the late Robert F. Hooper, of 58 years, entered into eternal peace Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. The daughter of the late Delmus and Fay (Mabry) Vaughn, she was born February 17, 1930 in Commerce, GA. She was raised in GA and moved to Meriden, CT in 1950 and later moved to Enfield in 1956. She was formerly employed by Baldwin Stewart Electric for 16 years and Abrams Insurance Agency for 6 years. Additionally, she was the regional manager for the Copper Craft Guild for 6 years. Faye was an avid reader and she also enjoyed visiting the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casino. She was known for the world’s best Apple Pie, which she lovingly made for her family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren at their cottage on Gardner Lake in Salem, CT. She is survived by her children, Robert B. Hooper and his wife Tracey of Stoughton, MA, Cynthia Rook and her husband Michael of Windsor, Sharon King of Windsor Locks, Judy Hardman and Brenda Lee Adams both of Danielsville, GA; step son, Jeffrey Allen Bernier, of Seattle, Washington; her seven grandchildren, Lauren, Alexandra, Nicole, Miranda, Bobby, Dawnelle and Brian. She also leaves thirteen great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by five brothers, five sisters, and Jack Hardman, Jr., her Grandson. Visitation hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 at Leete-Stevens. Committal will follow at St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery.
