Lorette M.  Flower (David)
Lorette “Lori” Flower, 86, entered into eternal peace on Sunday, June 17 at Avon Health Center in Avon, CT. Lori was born June 26, 1931 in Northfield, Vermont. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Theresa David who would later marry Ralph Beede. Her late brothers and sisters were Gilda Owens, Lynn David, Gloria Gimmartino, Kendon David, Verdon David and she is survived by her brother Jack David. Lori is also survived by her stepsisters, Helen Gauthier, Lucille McKena, Phyllis Golden, Betty Laferira, and Delores Bombard. Lori graduated from Northfield High School and later moved to Connecticut where she met and married her husband Tom Flower Sr. Tom and Lori made their home at 30 Parky Dr. in Enfield for over 50 years where their music filled the air with family and friends. They had five sons or “sonflowers” as she liked to call them, Dave, Tom Jr., Jim, Steve and Bob. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Peg, four grandchildren, Chelsea, Sam, Abby and Ben Flower. Lori had many friends and was active in her church, Holy Family Parish in Enfield. She had a huge heart and loved people whether she knew them or not. She had a passion for refinishing antiques and could spot a deal a mile away. She loved spending time with family and friends and they loved it in return. In her favorite words, “Thanks for the memories”, mom. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral procession will gather at 10:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 am at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield. Burial will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery in East Windsor. Memorial contributions in Lorette's memory may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1365 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082.
