Obituary for June Louise Nadeau (Dunphy)

June Louise (Dunphy) Nadeau, 99, of Windsor Locks, wife of the late Maurice E. Nadeau entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, April 24, 2017,at Bickford Health Care Center. June was born June 14, 1917, in Houlton, ME the daughter of the late Harry and Nellie (Young) Dunphy. June was a graduate of Thomas College in Waterville, Maine and shortly after her marriage she and Maurice and the family moved to CT. She was employed with CRT Community Resource Team from which she retired as an accountant. June enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles, and arts and crafts. She is survived by her three children, Wayne Nadeau and his wife, Bette of East Hartford, CT, David Nadeau of Enfield and Marie Sienkiewicz of Windsor Locks; her grandchildren, Julie Nadeau of Enfield, Adam Nadeau and Bekah Hebert of Enfield, Lindsey Sienkiewicz and her fiance, Justin Valanti of Coventry and Nicole Allen and her husband, Glenn of Windsor Locks; three great-grandchildren, Shi, Caleb and Keegan Nadeau and Kay Nadeau who was like a daughter. In addition to her husband she was also predeceased by two grandsons, Michael Nadeau and Steven Sienkiewicz. June's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Bickford Health Care Center for the wonderful and compassionate care June received. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Thursday, April 27, 2017, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks followed by a funeral service at 7 pm at the funeral home. Graveside services will be celebrated on Friday, April 28, 2017, at 11 am in Grove Cemetery, South Main St., Windsor Locks. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter, 200 Executive Boulevard, Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489 or to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd.
