Obituary for Anthony J. "Tony" Campanelli Sr.

Anthony J. "Tony"  Campanelli Sr.
Anthony J. "Tony" Campanelli, Sr., 82, of Windsor Locks, loving husband of the late Rose (Peluso) Campanelli entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, August 7, 2017, at The Suffield House with his family by his side. Tony was born June 1, 1935, in Hartford, CT the son of the late Domenico and Anna Maria (Ciampanelli) Campanelli. Tony retired from Eugene Steinberg Plumbing and Heating (TESCO) of Bloomfield after 57 years. Tony's life was centered around his family and his Church. He was a longtime faithful parishioner of St. Mary Church and he cherished the time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his two children, Joan Compas and her husband, James of Scottsdale, AZ and Anthony J. Campanelli, II and his wife, Ann Marie of Enfield; four grandchildren, Kevin Compas and his wife, Jessica Ehrler of Scottsdale, AZ, Patricia Compas-Markman and her husband, David of Oakland, CA, Nicholas Campanelli and his wife, Sarabeth of Verno and Anthony J. Campanelli, III and his wife, Elizabeth of Enfield; six beloved great-grandchildren, Hazel Rose Compas, Franco Anthony Campanelli, Anthony Joseph Campanelli, IV, Aubrey Rose Campanelli, Avery Rose Markman and Zachary Matthew Campanelli; a brother, Frank Campanelli of Ellington and several nieces and nephews.

Tony was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Dominic Campanelli and a sister, Lena Peluso. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Thursday, August 10, 2017, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will gather at 9 am on Friday, August 11, 2017, at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery.
