James F.  Jelinek
James F. Jelinek, 97, of Windsor Locks husband of the late Eileen (Williams) Jelinek entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Hartford Hospital. James was born January 14, 1920, in Providence, RI, the youngest of 11 children. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II and retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in 1983 and many years. Family was the center of his life. He loved nothing more than spending time with his immediate family as well as his extended family in Rhode Island. Over the years, Jim enjoyed many interests: golfing, camping trips with the family, vacationing at the beach. In his later years, Jim enjoyed yearly trips to the Cape, Myrtle Beach and Jamaica as well as several trips abroad. He is survived by his loving daughter, Robin Craig and her husband, Doug of Marlborough; his beloved granddaughter, Jennifer Craig of Portsmouth, NH and many close relatives and extended family from Rhode Island. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 2 pm to 3:30 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks, Ct A funeral service for James will be celebrated at 3:30 following the visiting hours at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in memory of James may be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital,501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
