Mildred M  Taglieri (Musco)
Mildred (Musco) Taglieri, a long time resident of Somers Connecticut, died Monday, May 1, at age 91. Mildred was married for 62 years to the late John G Taglieri. She was a loving mother to her children, Thomas and Teryl Taglieri, Tara Taglieri and Dave St. Laurent, Robb Taglieri, Michele Taglieri Pena and Rick Sandner, the late Jay Taglieri and the late Angel Pena, an adoring grandmother to Melissa, Sara, Christian and Sofie, and a devoted sister to the late Anna Dellipoali and husband Louis, the late Elvira Golino and husband Joe, the late Olympia Toth and husband Frank, and the late Joseph Musco and wife Marie. Mildred was born on January 19, 1926 in Carteret, New Jersey, to Antonia and Carmella Musco and spent childhood days at her family home on Louis Street. She graduated from Jersey City Medical Center School of Nursing, Seton Hall University and later in life attended The New School of Social Research in NewYork City. Mildred and John married in 1954 and raised their five children in Ridgefield, New Jersey. During that time Mildred began her nursing career in geriatrics as an In-Service Coordinator at Palisades Nursing Home in Guttenburg, New Jersey. There, she created the first accredited Nursing Aid Program in the State of New Jersey and remained on staff for nearly thirty years. In 1976 Mildred moved to Somers, Connecticut where she and John lived until their passing. Mildred was a parishioner at St. Luke Church, Ellington Ct., and a member of the parish Small Faith Community... Mom will forever be missed by all those whose lives she touched. A Mass will be said in Mildred's memory on Saturday, July8, 2017, at 5pm, at St. Luke, Ellington, Connecticut.
