Michael J.  Amell Sr.
Michael J. Amell Sr., (87), of Enfield, beloved husband of Shirley (Colton) Amell for 63 years, entered into eternal rest, Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Johnson Memorial Medical Center. Born and raised in Northfield, VT, he lived in Enfield for many years and was a retired machinist from Storm Drop Forging in West Springfield. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran who served his country honorably. Michael enjoyed tinkering around his home fixing many things at his own pace. He also valued the time spent working in his garden. His time away from his home, was usually spent on the golf course as he was an avid golfer. Besides his wife Shirley, Michael is survived by a son, Michael J. Amell Jr. of Springfield, MA; a grandson, Joshua Martin Amell and his wife Stephanie of Clinton, MA; and three great grandchildren, Harrison, Nathaniel, and Lynn Amell. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six brothers and one sister. Funeral services are private.
