Obituary for Marilyn P. Dion (Petrie)

Marilyn (Petrie) Dion, 83, of Windsor Locks, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Dion, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home with family by her side on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Born in North Adams, MA, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Dorothy Petrie. She graduated from Manchester High School. She was employed by the Travelers Insurance Company as a Medicare Supervisor. She is survived by her devoted daughters and their families, Elaine and Les Waide of Florida; Jane and Kurt Critz of Enfield; Nancy and Arnold Repetto of Granby; Marianne and William Daigle of Windsor Locks. She is also survived by her sisters and their families - Shirley Ramisk of South Windsor and Judy Rothe and brother-in-law Bob of Windsor Locks. She was predeceased by her son Leroy (Lee) Thomas Foucher and brother-in-law, Frank Ramisk. Marilyn’s life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored. Her grandchildren - Danny Rabbett and fiancé Kami, Thomas Critz and Liz Dann, Kate and Jeremy Bourassa, Matt Repetto and Josie Maida; Jake Critz and Laura Chicorka. Her great grandchildren - Casey, Megan and D.J Rabbett and Hudson and Jacob Bourassa. Marilyn enjoyed her family with all her heart and soul and will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 9 am to 10 am at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service celebrating Marilyn's life will follow the visiting hour at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Marilyn’s honor to be made to Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 105 Windsor Locks, CT 06096 or to Hartford Healthcare Hospice at Home (www.donatenow.networkforgood.org).
