Knia K.  Hutchings
Knia K. Hutchings, (16), beloved daughter of Kevin J. and Nzima Sheryelle (Roberson) Hutchings, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 8, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Knia was born in Hartford July 12, 2000 and lived in the Enfield community where she attended Enfield High School in her Junior year. Energetic and giving, Knia was very active in school and in the community. She was a proud member of Rachel's Challenge and was currently earning dual credit through Asnuntuck Community College. Her dream of becoming a Doctor included her volunteering at Johnson Memorial Medical Center. She also volunteered at the local Soup kitchen in Enfield and was a youth member of the Black Business Assn. of New England. Knia loved listening to her favorite music on her air-buds. She enjoyed dancing, and challenging friends and family with Math questions. Given her exceptional scholastic abilities, she also enjoyed tutoring Math. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Knia is survived by three brothers, Quannal Sanabria Hutchings and his wife Ashley of East Hartford, RaƩkwon Robinson and his wife Kirstyn of Enfield, and Kevin Hutchings Jr. of Enfield; maternal grandfather, Stanley Shepard and his wife Monica Evans of East Hartford, her maternal grandmother, Ethel Roberson of East Hartford; paternal grandparents, Joe and Helen Hutchings of Bloomfield; her maternal great grandmothers, Mary Campbell and Margaret Roberson; a neice Jordan Sanabria-Hutchings and a nephew, Jeremiah Sanabria-Hutchings; and several aunts and uncles and extended family. A Visitation hour will be held from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Friday May 12, 2017 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, followed immediately by a funeral service at 12 p.m. Committal will be held at Hazardville Cemetery.
