Obituary for Monique A. Hulbert (Rinaldi)

Monique A. Hulbert (Rinaldi)
Monique Rinaldi Hulbert, age 49, of Longmeadow, MA died on June 24. Monique lived a life of love and laughter with her cherished family and friends, despite being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 45. She loved cooking, gardening, hiking, exercising, her strong Italian roots, and everything New England. The best of times included family, friends, and food.
Born on Easter Sunday, April 14, 1968, Monique was the daughter of Salvatore “Sam” and Anne (Vecchiarelli) Rinaldi with whom she was extremely grateful for and very close. They talked almost daily and spent much of their time together. She was a beloved wife to her high school sweetheart, Jeffrey Hulbert, for 25 years. Monique was a proud and devoted mother to her sons Alex and Chris whose happiness and well-being is her number one wish. She prayed that they are as proud of themselves as she was of them. Monique owes love and gratitude to her husband, children, and parents, as well as her father’s wife Paolina Rinaldi of Agawam, MA; brother John and sister-in-law and friend Betsy, niece Therese and nephew Steven, of Enfield, CT; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and family including brother–in-law Terry Hulbert, Kathee and Jim Phelps, and Ann and Roy McAdoo. She had many good friends, including long-time close friends Sue Cristina, Petra Gottsman, Lisa Mainville, Chrissie McNeil (and family), and Elizabeth Remington.
Monique grew up in Enfield, CT. She attended St. Adalbert School, graduated from Enrico Fermi High School in 1986, attended STCC for an AA, and then Western New England University for both her BA and MBA. She enjoyed teaching part-time entry-level courses of English, business, and computers at local 2-and-4-year colleges.
The family will receive friends during the Memorial visitation hours from 3:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Leete-Stevens Funeral Home, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT 06083. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates contributions made in Monique’s memory to: Alexander & Christopher Hulbert Scholarship Fund, 670 Bliss Road, Longmeadow, MA, 01106.
