Lester F. Bushey, Jr. 73, a long time resident of Enfield passed away at his home on Saturday, June 24, 2017. He was the son of the late Lester and Elizabeth (LaFlesh) Bushey Sr. Lester was a veteran of the United States Army, stationed in Germany during his three years of serving his country. He was a parishioner at St. Bernard’s Church for many years. Lester enjoyed playing cards and chess with friends and his family. The most enjoyable thing that was so special to him was his football team, the NY Giants. Lester is survived by his brother, Robert W. Bushey and his wife Terry of Enfield; two sisters, Connie Hurlburt of Enfield, Cindi Wellinger and her husband Stanley of Goldsboro, NC, a sister-in-law Celia Bushey of Enfield, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lester was predeceased by a brother, Fredric Bushey, and a brother-in-law Kenneth Hurlburt. The family will receive friends during visitation hours on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 8:00A.M.-10:00 A.M. at Leete-Stevens Funeral Home, 61 South Road Enfield, CT 06083. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Bernard’s Church Enfield. Burial will be at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery in Enfield.
