Obituary for John F. Hunter Jr.

John F.  Hunter Jr.
John F. Hunter, Jr., 57, of Enfield passed away peacefully on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. John was born February 24, 1960 in Rockville Centre, New York, the loving Son of John Sr. and Gail (Johnson) Hunter of Bradenton, Florida. He was employed as a manufacturing supervisor at LSC Communications for ten years. He was the former coach and president of Enfield Little League. John enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, and tending to his yard and garden. He was an avid fan of New York Yankees, the Cowboys, and Uconn Women's Basketball. John loved to take long walks with his mother, Gail on the beach. His greatest pride and joy in life was spending time with his beloved family and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, John leaves behind his loving wife, best friend, and soul mate, Grace (Ingrassia) Hunter to whom he was married 35 years. He is also survived by three children, Jessica Price and her husband, Gary of Enfield, Samantha Hunter of Enfield, John F. Hunter, III and his wife, Danielle of Enfield; three beloved grandchildren, Harper Quinn and Mackenzie Grace Price, and Ameilia Katherine Hunter; a brother, Jeffrey Hunter and his wife, Susan of Kansas City, MO; a sister, Lori Magora and her husband, Mark of Enfield; Nieces and Nephews, Anthony LaRussa, Andrew Hunter, Jenifer Stevenson and her husband, Geoffrey, Michelle Magora, and Jordan Magora; his mother-in-law, Rosemarie Usher; two sisters-in-law, Elena Scott and her husband, Richard, and Donna LaRussa and her husband, Randy. John was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, John and Helen Hunter; his maternal grandparents, Walter and Avis Johnson; and his father-in-law, Jack Ingrassia. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for calling hours on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT. A Celebration of Life in honor of John will be held July 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels. The family strongly recommends in lieu of flowers a donation to be made to The American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
