Josephine Jasiekiewicz, 94, of Somers passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She trained at New Britain General Hospital and was employed as a nurse's aide at the Mountain View Nursing Home. After retiring she enjoyed flower gardening and attending the theatre and concerts. She was a loving and caring sister and aunt who will be sadly missed. She leaves her sister Bernice West of Somers, with whom she made her home; two brothers Joseph and his wife, Eva of Monson, MA and John and his wife Millie of Binghamton, NY; two step-brothers, Joseph Staniszewski and his wife, Anne of Monson, MA, Edwin Sagan and his wife, Verma Mae of Somers; two step-sisters Katherine Engleman and her husband, Frank of Somers and Phyllis Phillipo and her husband, Albert of Fayville, MA and many cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St., (Route 190) Somers, CT. Graveside services and burial for Josephine will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 11 am in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Three Rivers, MA.
