Obituary for Jean Ann Gendreau (Marino)

Jean A. (Marino) Gendreau, 78, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, daughter of the late Pellegrino and Alda (St. George) Marino, she was a lifelong resident of Enfield and a 1957 graduate of Enfield High School. Jean was previously employed at The Hartford Insurance Co., and most recently, Bob's Stores in Enfield. Jean enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and most of all, spending time with her loving family. She leaves her husband of fifty-seven years, Donald R. Gendreau, a son and his partner, Stephen R. Gendreau and Margaret Conklin of West Springfield, a daughter and her husband, Allyson M. and Ronald R. Pisciotta of Stafford Springs, a brother and his wife, Vincent and Dianne Marino of Windsor, two sisters, Linda Marino of Agawam, Susan Sullivan and her husband Dennis of Enfield, five grandchildren, Marc Gendreau, Megan Gendreau, Rachel Kimble, Gianna Pisciotta, Gennaro Pisciotta, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Kimble in 2006 and a brother, Carl Marino in 1968. The funeral will be Monday, July 31, 2017 at 9am from the LEETE-STEVENS ENFIELD CHAPELS, 61 South Road with a Mass in St. Patrick's Church at 10. The burial will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, 1-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3045.
