Condolences & Tributes

We encourage you to share any memorable photos or stories about Eileen. All tributes placed on and purchased through this memorial website will remain on in perpetuity for future generations.

Eileen was one of the nicest people I've ever known. I remember when she first came to CCI-Somers and worked as a secretary for the Reception-Diagnostic Center. She and other secretary kept the office running smoothly & efficiently at all times, and she never forgot anyone's birthday. We functioned as a family unit much of the time. Although it would be years later before I actually met her husband, I felt that I knew him by how highly she often spoke of him. I'm sure he was there to greet her as she crossed over.

She moved on from the Reception-Diagnostic Center to become Executive Secretary for several Wardens, and although I saw her less often when we did see each it was as if we were still working together.

After retirement, she and the ladies invited me to a restaurant in Somers to have dinner with them, and what a great time it was.

My deepest condolences to her sons & their families, and to all of her relatives, friends, former co-workers.....We will ALL miss Eileen. May She Rest In Paradise.

My condolences to Eileen's family and friends. She was a very kind and caring individual. Her commitment to family, friends and the CT Dept. of Correction was exemplary. She was very protective of the "Wardens Office" and as a new warden assigned to C.R.C.I. I benefited tremendously from her loyalty and dedication. Rest easy my friend, you've done well.

To Eileen's Family: I am so sorry to hear the passing of my friend & neighbor. We spent many cups of coffee discussing life, family & of course Wolf. You already know how proud she was of each & everyone of you. Her love for Wolf & missing him were our shared topic. What a wonderful Family. We are shedding the tears for her but in Heaven she is being hugged & smiling with God, Wolf & Wendy. I will miss our times together, that wonderful smile & that beautiful head of white hair. Rest In Peace My Friend. Love Bev

So sorry for your loss. Eileen and Wolf welcomed us into Somers and helped us feel at home in our new home. We were lucky to have landed as their neighbors.
