Obituary for Helen B. Geromiller (Laskowski)

Helen B. (Laskowski) Geromiller, 99, of Enfield, CT loving wife of the late Frederick Geromiller entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, in the comfort of her home. Helen was born July 2, 1918, in Suffield, CT the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Siemionko) Laskowski. Helen was born and raised in Suffield and graduated from Suffield High School. After the untimely passing of her husband she began working at the Roosevelt Mills in Rockville from which she retired after several years as an Inspector. Helen was very talented at crocheting who loved baking and cooking especially traditional Polish and English dishes. Her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends where the lucky recipients of her wonderful afghans. Helen will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt and for her wonderful pies, gingerbread and cookies. She is survived by her son, Frederick Geromiller of Cibolo, TX; two grandsons, Gerald Geromiller and James Geromiller both of Texas; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren of Texas and nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by a son, Richard Geromiller; a brother, Frank Laskowski and five sisters, Nellie Salisbury, Josephine Koz, Mary Mastalaz, Martha and Frances Laskowski. Helen's family would like to thank her former daughter-in-law, Chris Merlo and Helen's wonderful neighbor John Dulac for their wonderful friendships and many acts of kindness. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Monday, October 30, 2017, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral procession will gather at 10:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 am at Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
