Annie “Nan” (Taggart) Larrabee, 88, of Windsor Locks, wife of the late Cornelius "Ken" Larrabee entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, January 12, 2018. Annie was born January 17, 1929, in Glasgow, Scotland the daughter of the late James and Annie (Fitzsimons) Taggart. She worked for the British War Office before immigrating to the US and becoming a Legal Secretary. Her favorite job was as an usher at a theatre in Glasgow where she met many famous stars including Danny Kaye and Ella Fitzgerald. Annie was a stay at home mom until her daughters attended school and she began working in the Windsor Locks School system, she retired from Hamilton Standard after several years. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking, traveling, camping and spending time at the cottage. Annie is survived by two daughters, Maureen Larrabee of Windsor Locks and Anne Larrabee of Enfield; two grandchildren, Emily Rose Focosi and her husband, Todd and Kenneth Rose and his wife, Shannan; two great grandchildren, Tyler and Ava Rose. Annie was predeceased by a brother James Taggart. Funeral services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in memory of Annie may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 55 N. Main St., East Windsor CT 06088. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Locks Funeral Home.
