Obituary for Joseph R. "Richard" Belliveau

Joseph "Richard" Belliveau, 75, of Somers loving husband of 43 years to the late Joan (Flint) Belliveau entered into Eternal Rest on February 9, 2018, in the comfort of his home. Richard was born January 27, 1943, in Somers the son of the late Joseph R. and Mary (Richard) Belliveau. Richard retired from Pratt & Whitney after 37 years of dedicated service. He was an active and faithful parishioner of All Saints Church in Somersville , a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4303 in Somers and member of the Holy Name Society. Richard was an avid fisherman and enjoyed roller skating, riding roller coasters, listening to country music and playing his instruments, but cherished most the time spent with his grandchildren. Richard is survived by his two children, Lisa Morris and Ed Belliveau both of Somers; two sisters, Shirley Jenkins and Tootsie Badura both of Somers; his beloved grandchildren, Tracy, Jazlyn, Emma and Jacob; three great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Kayson, and Lilah and several nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by two brothers, Albert and Alyre Belliveau and two sisters, Dorothy Gahr and Irene Baran. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St.(Route 190) Somers. A funeral procession will form on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at 9 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at All Saints Church.
