Charles Johnson, 85, of Enfield, loving husband to Barbara Johnson, entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in September in New Jersey, the son of the late Carl and Helen (McGraw) Johnson. He proudly served our country for 8 years in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After his separation from the Navy, he enjoyed a career as a truck driver. Charlie was a very sociable person and had a way of brightening one's day. Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Johnson; his brother-in-law and close pal, Arthur Plante; and his close cousins, Sally, Arlene, and Winnie, as well as several other cousins. In addition to his parents, Charles is predeceased by a brother, Jerry. Relatives and friends may join the family for visitation hours on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 5:3 0 - 7:00 pm, followed by a service at 7:00 pm, at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT 06082.
