Anne (Dest) Marino, 92, of Enfield, CT, entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in New Haven, CT on March 31, 1926, the daughter of the late James and Emily (Genovese) Dest. Anne married James V. Marino and moved with him to Enfield, CT where they made their home. She retired from Hamilton Standard where she worked as an accounting clerk. Anne was a great cook, enjoyed staying active with her friends, and loved to spend time at the beach, especially Cape Cod. She will be remembered most for her selfless nature and how she would always put others ahead of herself. Her family and friends were her greatest joy in life. Anne is survived by two children, Patricia Bellinger and her husband, Frederick of Enfield, CT, and David Marino and Cailin Stack of Middletown, CT; her beloved granddaughter, Alyssa Marino of Atlanta, Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Donna Marino of Windsor, CT; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, James V. Marino, Anne is predeceased by her son, Paul Marino; and three brothers, Jim Dest, Ralph Dest, and Robert Dest. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation hours on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT 06082 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Enfield Street Cemetery.
