Catherine E.  Sarner (Ledwick)
Catherine E. (Ledwick) Sarner, 70, of Windsor, wife of the late Ronald Sarner entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Hartford Hospital. Catherine was born July 15, 1947, in Boston, MA the daughter of the late John and Mary (Moynihan) Ledwick. Catherine retired in 2006 from the Central New York Psychiatric Center in Marcy, NY after 31 years of dedicated service. Catherine lived most of her life in upstate New York recently moving to Windsor to be closer to her family. She was a voracious reader, Catherine and her friends enjoyed their book club. She was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. Catherine loved the ocean, visiting the Cape, and spending time with her family and friends at Fourth Lake in the Adirondacks. She is survived by two loving daughters, Christine Sarner and Caroline Sarner both of Windsor; Kim O'Key who was just like a daughter and her step-daughter, Gale Gentry and her husband, Gene and their daughter, Amy of NH. Catherine is also survived by her brother, John Ledwick and his wife, Regina of Hingham, MA; a sister, Mary Madden and her husband, Steve of Marshfield, MA and her loving grandson, Ben Sarner; her brothers-in-law, James Sarner and his wife, Deb of Saratoga Springs, NY and Kem Moser of Avondale, PA; her sisters-in-law, Anne Quinn and her husband, Raymond of Hutchinson Island, FL and Karin McNair and her husband, Tim of Erie, PA and many nieces and nephews. Catherine was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Gale Moser. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Monday, May 14, 2018, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 11 am at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield, CT.
