Obituary for Judith Ann Prato (Dewey)

God has called home an angel. Judith Ann Dewey Prato, 69, of Windsor Locks, entered into Eternal Rest and peace. She was a strong, loving woman, mother and friend to many. She loved life, and lived it abundantly. She fought hard till the end. Her treasures were her family, friends, and especially her son, Mark. Judy always welcomed Mark’s friends into her home, and loved each one of them. We are all blessed to have many special memories of her. Judy was Born March 6, 1949, in Hartford, CT, daughter of Mary S. Dewey and the late Donald E. Dewey. Mother of Mark W. Prato; who was the light of her life. She also leaves behind her sister Cindy Butler (Robert), brother David Dewey, and brother Marshall Dewey (Wendy) .She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends. Judy passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends. Judy worked for The Hartford Courant for 30 years, where she took on many roles and made numerous friends. After retiring, she worked at Costco until January of this year where she again made many friends.
