Obituary for Benjamin T. "Ben" Ouellette

Benjamin T. “Ben” Ouellette, 19, of Windsor Locks passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018. Ben was born August 10, 1998 in Hartford, CT and was raised in Windsor Locks where he attended local schools. He was a graduate of the Public Safety Academy in Enfield, Class of 2017 and attended Lincoln College of New England where he was studying to becoming a Funeral Director. Ben was a parishioner of St. Mary Church where he served for over nine years as an Altar Server. He was active throughout his youth in Boy Scouts and was a member of Troop 263 in Windsor Locks and most recently received his Eagle Scout. He volunteered at Bickford's Heath Care Center and with several Blood Drives in town. If you knew Ben, you knew his love for his country and how patriotic he was. Ben was a history buff, an avid reader, and avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. He was currently employed with the Cracker Barrel in East Windsor. In addition to his loving and caring adoptive parents, Eleanor and Harold Alm, Ben is also survived by his father, Douglas Ouellette of Enfield; three brothers, Kyle Ouellette and his wife, Loren of Willimantic, Luke Ouellette of Bristol and Jake Ouellette of North Windham; special cousins, Aayla and Kai and several aunts and uncles. Ben’s family will receive relatives and friends during visiting hours on Thursday, May 31, 2018, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 1, 2018, at 11 am at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks. Please meet at the church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Ben’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
