Edward G. Cooke, Sr., 81, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of Linda (Herida) Cooke entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, October 8, 2018. Edward was born on April 23, 1937 in Manchester, CT. He was employed as a machinist at Pratt & Whitney for 25 years. Edward was an avid Red Sox fan, and enjoyed music, watching movies, playing checkers, and dancing. He was playful and light-hearted, had a heart of gold, and more than anything loved spending time with friends and family. In addition to his loving wife, Edward is survived by his children, Catherine and her husband Brian of Coventry, Edward, Jr. of Windsor Locks; his grandchildren, Autumn,
April, Amelia, Brad, and Brian; his great grandchildren, Alexander, Zachary, B.J., Luke, Timmy, Zoey, and Peyton; his brother, Richard and his wife Lisa; his sisters, Patty & her partner Nick, and Phyllis; his devoted
cousins Alana, Craig, and Kelly; and many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Ramona. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Saturday, October 13 2018, from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St, Windsor Locks. A procession will gather at the funeral home at 10:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s cemetery.
